What area of 2nd NW?  I live near 2nd NW near 10th, although I haven't seen the dog, if it is near me, I will keep an eye out.

How small?  I did see a dog near Garden court apts but about the size of a beagle.

A beagle would be about the right size.  She said it looked a lot like Patrick at the shelter, but with a bigger white spot on its head.   http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=11031878
