Hungry to win bragging rights for a year, plus a nice plaque to prominently display, these restaurants will be campaigning for your votes. One ballot per person. Must be 18. The participating restaurants have also donated various prize

Certificates that will be awarded in a random drawing from all eligible ballots cast.

Ballots must be received by Monday, April 28 at 5:00 p.m. at FUN 92.7, 981 N. Brindlee Mountain Parkway, Arab. The results of the Best Restaurant Contest and the winners of the random prize drawing will be announced during the Fun House morning show on Wednesday, April 30.

The contest is sponsored by the Arab Area Retail and Restaurant Committee.

...Make that 22 restaurants.  Downtown Pizza and Subs just announced that they were closing.  The restaurant was fairly new and probably never had a good foothold in the community.  Hard to compete with three big pizza chain restaurants in such a small market, not to mention Subway across the street competing for your sandwich business.

Let's all get out and support our local restaurants - all our local shops and businesses for that matter.  The restaurant contest is just what they needed - at the right time.

Thank you for sharing with us the winner of the best restaurant of the year 2008. I think, this restaurant deserve the award.
