Recently a school district in Florida proposed a plan that would give students in their elementary schools a score of 40 on grades that would have normally been given a grade of zero. This is to keep the kids from getting discouraged and giving up. What do you think of this plan? I personally hate it because it just adds to the lack of personal responsibility that has become rampant in our society.

Absolutely, it also lends to the thought that it isn't required that you succeed anymore.  Now-a-days, it seems that students are taught, that you're not supposed to be better, or make yourself better than anyone else, cause everyone's supposed to be the same.

I grew up knowing... there's a winner, and there's a loser, not everyone wins, and that's how it should be.
